Material Database -- Import & Export

Unread post by zwei »

Is there anyway to "import" a list of material information from csv/excel instead of creating them one by one? Or do we have something similar to toolbox setup?

Similarly, is there anyway to "export" all material information into a csv file?

Far too many items in the world are designed, constructed and foisted upon us with no understanding-or even care-for how we will use them.

I think you can import/export entire libraries, but individual materials have to be done individually.

It took me a minute to find it. Chris Saller!! Explore his site for all kinds of goodies, but here is his extra materials database:

I kept looking in Matt's area (https://dezignstuff.com/) because I thought he had published this. I guess I was wrong. First time this year!
