Why... ?

EDIT August 2021 :
i sadly noticed what others people noticed on others internet forum about majority (not all) of american users that think they are the center of the world, it's so obvious when we read some posts.
Talking in a "neutral worldwide forum" without precising country, because america is center obviously center of the world, give a really bad feeling to people from others countries.
I'm sorry to say that but CADforum is not "Worldwide / Neutral"
It's more a "America (self-centered) Forum"
because :
BugidWorks,
StupidWorks,
WorkaroundWorks,
SlowidWorks,
StillBetaWorks
SolidSometimeWorks
SolidDoesntWorks
SolidWorksAround
etc...

in DRW, for a dimension, when changing default arrow size, it activates the "break"...

Why the "Reference" under open-recent doesn't work anymore ??? because
Bugidworks
in a recent past, it worked...
in recent menu, expand one file, selct "Reference", do the change we want and clic "ok"
and Bugidwork doesn't return the "expand menu", but return to the initial "recent menu"
and all changes under "Reference" are lost.

work arround :
use the "open file / Reference" but it's more clic than the "Recent" menu
use the "SW Explorer" command under windows, but too much slower for me, i don't have time for this...

Yeap, engineering software that don't know how to count.

Why is SW so ignorant about directions of extrusions. Why is the default not always away from the material. I'd say the majority of the time SW purposefully extrudes sheet metal right into the other parts.

Same reason SW cut into thin air whenever possible.
Since it keep doing the wrong thing 90% of the time, they should just program it backward.

maybe SW uses the direction of plane, that's why it's important in DOT settings to have two different colors,
(i use green and red)
even a sketch line, or a geometric-axe has a direction, even if we can't see it...

There is no business motivation to making the software more efficient as they would sell less licenses.
Heaven forbid they actually release a bug free version.

Which is why I don't understand why it so often is wrong particularly when working with solids. All surfaces on Solids are normal out so when you place a sketch on a surface of a solid you KNOW where the material is. Cuts should default opposite the normal and extrusions should go in the same direction as the normal whether its a piece fo sheet metal or plain extrusion.

But they fail to see that all the bells and whistles don't matter if the core software continues to degrade. "Why isn't anyone renewing their license. We've added all these fancy new features."
(The fact that none of those fancy new features work for the first 3 years doesn't seem to register on their radar.)

Added a new feature - works in 2 configs. No error but no effect in 3 others ?
[edit] my bad - I had it slightly in the wrong place and a mirror consumed it

Yeah, no doubt. I can't even figure out what that says. Looks like it was written in a foreign language or something. For what it's worth mine seems fine. I'm on 2018 though.
