Show Your Work

Unread post by matt »

In the other place one of my favorite threads was the place where people showed images of their projects. I've got more, but this is good for now.

Here is my latest large project (with the customer part hidden):

This was designed using the master model technique (with a smattering of SSP in there)

This is an electro-chemical deburr fixture for deburring the areas where holes cross inside the part (areas that are really hard to get to by hand)

If the customer part were shown, it would be inside this space:

My best disaster! Great design work and a great team overcoming great challenges, torpedoed at the 11th hour by an overzealous founder with an itchy trigger finger.

I watched the whole thing. It sounds like a great product.

Had potential to be a decent product. Instead it turned into a great story.

Here's some of my work. I helped with designing this installation, and the modeling and drawing were all mine.

I designed the hydraulic cylinder. With some FEA to make sure thread will hold and cap and gland won't blow out.

Wow! That's awesome! It's crazy what you can do with CAD/rendering. Such as https://grabcad.com/library/ram-trx-1
